During unrest times, CTF provides immediate relief to families and children in distress. A thorough assessment and verification process is followed to identify such families who are struggling to meet their daily needs due to complete lockdown and curfew across all districts of Kashmir region. Community heads, masjid committees and local partners are also involved in the selection process.

During crises, CTF mainly focuses on two areas of intervention:

Monthly food kits

these are essential food items needed for the basic survival of low-income families especially those who are dependent on daily wages for their sustenance. Each food kit comprises of rice, flour, cooking oil, spices, pulses, sugar, salt and biscuits. In ongoing pandemic (COVID 19) we provided around 4145 food kits in different districts of Jammu and Kashmir

Community learning centers (CLC)

These schools keep children engaged in creative ways during protracted unrest when the schools are closed. CTF’s CLC handbook provides systematic instructions on how to run these Centres using creative based learning which includes mental wellness and recreation besides basic education. Local volunteers and teachers run these Centre
